Here is a story I started writing a while back also, I haven't done any revision whatsoever, so it's in a rough form. Comments welcome...

Chapter 1
Bliss.
The still, silence of the Kristyl waters was more than Cade thought he would ever need. The water was where he felt comfortable, it was him.
Every since Cade was brought into this magical world, he was around the water. He lived in Undia his entire fourteen years of life. His grandmother raised him for his mother died while giving birth, and his father was always away.
He always wondered what his mother was like. His grandmother, Nina, always told him stories of his mother when she was young. She said she was a playful, rambunctious little girl. A tomboy of sorts, but still very beautiful. She met his father while taking a quick swim during Gathering when she wasn’t supposed to. He was looking for a place to stay, being a researcher for the Elemental Circle, who traveled around all his life.
He was walking towards Undia and passed Kristyl, where he found a young woman floating on her back gracefully on the clear blue waters. Her eyes were shut as though she was sleeping. He stood and stared at the angel who did not notice his presence.
“Excuse me young lady,” The girl abruptly opened her eyes and fell into the water with only her head sticking out.
“Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
“I didn’t suspect so; you seemed pretty comfortable lying there.”
“How long have you been there?” She asked warningly
“Long enough to know I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my life” He answered with a slight smile on his face. He was a very charming young man, only nineteen years old.
She blushed and put her head down, still hovering in the water about fifteen feet from the man. She had a soft spot for complements.
“What’s your name?” Asked the man.
“Celeste.”
“What a beautiful name, it fits you perfectly. Just like an angel”
She blushed again.
“I was named after my great-grandmother who was of the Elemental Circle.” She told him. Her great-grandmother was the greatest Water Sprite of her time. “What about you? Do you have a name?” She asked smiling.
“ My name is Vercaden, but I go by Cade.”
And that’s it. They got married a week after that event. But his father had a duty, as mentioned before, he was a researcher for the Elemental Circle, so he had certain responsibilities he had to fulfill. Cade’s father left two months after the wedding, and would probably never come back.
Celeste was heartbroken, she was pregnant with a child, and she would not have a husband to share the rest of her life with.
Cade’s grandmother always said that he reminded her of his father. The same charming personality, but also had the lovable big blue eyes of his mother. He loved his grandmother, she was always there. Even to cry on her shoulder when some other kids would pick on him. Or to help him with his gathering studies.
Cade, as was everyone else in Undia, was a water sprite. There were different kinds of sprites, water, wind, fire, and earth. They were all called Elementals. Sprites of the elements.
But sprites weren’t the only race in Edumia, they’re were other magical creatures such as nymphs, goblins, and flies. But, to be blunt, sprites were the dominant species. The Elemental Circle is formed from the greatest sprite of each land. Pyrus, the land of fire sprites. Gaia, the land of earth sprites. Anemes, the land of air sprits. And, of course, Undia, the land of water sprites.
