Write everything, everywhere, never stop. Especially when you have writers block. If you don't struggle through it you'll never get past it. Practice, practice, practice. Challenge yourself with difficult scenarios, try setting deadlines for yourself to meet, and read everything you can get your hands on. Give in to the glorious allure of alliteration. Kennings can help you make ideas interesting in the blocks and blocks of monotonous text. Twist the plot whenever you can wring your hands around it. Create complicated relationships between everything and everything else. Listen to the criticism you recieve and note it. Surprise your reader every time you get a chance. Tie it all together.
