(Alucard) Yes...but Miss Kurai, I really don't think you, with your royalty, should be calling me "Highness", seeing as how both you're power and authority are greater than mine.*Bowing and trying to be tactful*

(Thanatos) Long ago the last pained screams had faded from the land. He was alone, more alone than most beings could ever imagine. The last of this worlds gods now lay trapped within a tiny necklace clasped around his throat. There had been too many of them - the divine power was spread too thin. It had been far too easy.
The creature that now possessed all of the power in the world shook what head he still had. Always it was too easy. A thought skittered through some far reach of his vast consciousness - perhaps, perhaps he had grown too skilled with it over the years. He remembered how it had all began, the rage, the hatred, all emotions that faded more with every passing year. Even the killing brought him less and less pleasure now, and the rush of power from absorbing a soul, even the soul of a god, no longer brought the same euphoria. He remembered something about a girl named Rachael, but he could not recall her face.
It was time to be moving on. He needed a new challenge, that much he knew. In the dark recesses of his mind he thought perhaps, perhaps all that was left for him was to taste of that sweet dessert he had given so many others, to finally fall to another’s blade. He sighed. Death would not come for him. He had slain it time and time again, sometimes finding it a soulless being of darkness, and sometimes finding it a demon who at its core longed only for redemption and a woman’s love. Time and time again he had placed himself before the strongest of warriors, taking delight in the thought that this time he might loose, and always the same result.
The world shifted and bent around him, forming itself to his will. The power to destroy it all, to create anything he desired was well within his grasp. Whole cities could have risen from the ashes of the desolate world on which he stood, if he had but willed it. Looking up at the night sky, he reached upwards and waved an uncaring hand across the infinite void and struck out all the stars. It would take millennia for the light to stop telling of the galaxies and planets, the civilizations that once were, but any traveler arriving would find nothing but the cold darkness to greet them here.
A rift tore itself across the chasm of the universe, and the creature could feel a fresh world, another dimension on the other side. He did not care where it was, as long as it was not one of the thousands to which he had already been. His form coalesced, becoming more solid and substantial. His clothes sprung out of nothing around him, a finely woven red suit, golden embroidery forming an intricate mass of thorns that ran up his left sleeve and stopped at a single rose located directly over his heart. Well-polished and very well fitted black leather boots covered his feet, the finely worked serpentine shapes of the golden buckles matching the one at his belt quite nicely. The ornate mithril guard of his two-handed sword hilt poked out of the silver clad black leather sheath hanging at his right hip, and the matching daggers hung at his left and back. The finely crafted, silver-gilded revolver at his left rounded out the ensemble.
Looking down at himself, he felt himself wanting to sigh again. It really was getting too repetitive. Taking a deep breath, though he knew he had no need for such things in this world, he stepped through the portal.
Pain engulfed him. He could feel himself slipping away, those millions of souls he had possessed fleeing back towards their own dimension. Part of him wished he could find some way to keep them, but the rest knew that it would all be too easy then. His power slipped away with them, and after what seemed like an eternity his feet struck solid ground on the other side. As he came fully out of the rift, he lurched forward, collapsing forward on to all fours, his limbs suddenly as weak as the mortal he now was.
Shaking and nauseous, his vision swimming, it took him a moment to realize there was someone addressing him. A young woman kneeled next to him, her hand on his back. She was asking him if everything was alright. Her language wasn’t exactly like anything he had heard before, but he had heard dialects similar enough that he understood. Smiling weakly, he allowed the girl to grasp his arm and pull upwards in an attempt to raise him. Another man came over to hold his other arm as they hoisted him to his shaky feet.
He sighed. They kept asking what was wrong with him, what had happened, and it was really very annoying. They both gasped and started to run when he rolled his eyes and reached for his sword. Thanatos pulled the blade from its sheath and slashed once across the girl’s throat in one smooth motion. As the body fell, Thanatos stepped smoothly to the side to avoid getting any drops from the fountain of blood on his clothing. He twisted around, bringing his blade up and slashing across the back of the man who was just beginning to flee. His spine severed, he fell backwards, suddenly unable to move his legs or breathe. Thanatos swiftly thrust his sword through the man’s eye socket almost before he was on the ground. Thanatos shook his head as he cleaned his blade on the man’s clothing. The few almost unnoticable drops of blood that had managed to get on his coat upset him, but what upset him even more was how both of these had been soulless creatures. AI constructs of some sort - he had dealt with them before.
He looked around him, squinting into the setting sun and seeing only the dark silhouette of one lone facility. He sheathed his sword quickly and began to walk towards it. The rest of the world was a barren wasteland, but within those walls he felt some sign of life. Perhaps some catastrophe had rid this realm of the billions that had once lived there, or perhaps this creator was attempting to populate his universe from the seed of only two individuals - there were a host of possibilities, none of which would surprise him, but only investigation would give an answer. He stepped quietly as he walked up to the large front doors, making himself ghostlike and insubstantial - almost invisible to the cameras that made their constant sweeps, or any more soulless AI’s that may be wandering around. In that state, sliding right through the thick metal blast doors was no trouble at all.

Earth (Cynric) "Okay, Mark. Give me the DS." Josh reached his hand out over the table yet again. If human's had the real capacity for anime emoticons, a large teardrop would have been falling along the heads of Cliff, Mark and Campbell at this point. It hadn't taken long for Josh to be completely enamored with the Nintendo DS, specifically its expanded port of Super Mario 64. The short time he'd been playing it on Mark's DS was enough. Well, it was enough to get him addicted. At this point, the cynic could not get enough. "Alright, Mark," he said, more forcefully this time. "Give me the DS." Cliff and Campbell cracked up.
"Do you know what you'd like, or do you still need some more time?" The sound of the Steak 'n' Shake waitress' voice didn't slow Josh's mindset.
"Yea, I'd like the DS, Mark. The lady said it. Give me the DS." We were now all laughing, including Josh.
"Just order, dude." Cliff was stifling his laughter as he made sure he knew what he was going to get.
"Hey, did you hear that?" Campbell's right eye twitched. "...okay, did you feel that?"
They all looked up, nodding. "Uh, here's a ten to cover the drinks. You should inform the other customers that leaving now would be wise. There's a problem coming here." Cliff's eyes glowed a little to enforce his words. She immediately recognized the four, denied the currency and went back to tell the manager. Cliff left the bill on the table anyway, and the four hurried outside.
"I still can't sense specifics. What's comin' up?" Mark asked, feeling for his Heaven and Earth blade, sheathed in his own little pocket dimension. The weight of it was comfortable, as always.
"It... it feels like a simple group. Bunch of Glojacks, a few Reapers, and a New-Strain Reaper." The word New-Strain was a bit forced as Campbell said it. That always meant trouble. It always meant a dangerous possibility. "We'll be fine, so long as we stick to our elements. Don't try anything new unless you've been practicing on your own and want to surprise us. Try and save surprises for simpler situations."
"Yes, my master." Josh's Darth Vader impersonation was humorously bad. They laughed a little of their tension off as they moved to the open, sparsely populated parking lot of the Super Wal-Mart.
There was a slight rumble, and then the asphalt nearby began tearing along trail, snaking its way towards the current party.
"Gotta watch out for them random battles, eh?" Campbell commenced his weak evil bishounen cackle as he called out the bad pun. Lines of erratic light began snapping along his skin, and his body grew a small amount. His flesh became pale... it was the whole Gourein change. The others followed suit. Campbell became Cynric, Cliff became Slade, Josh became Morin, and Mark became a bigger black dude. At least, that's how Josh normally put it. Mark preferred not to have somewhat of a superhero name, and stayed Mark.
The first of the hulking Glojacks burst out of the ground. Standing at a good twelve feet and armed with their oversized battle-axes, they continued forward in their leap and bounded unceremoniously towards the quartet. "Why do they always throw the fodder out first?" Slade roared as his twin katanas came into view. "Must it always be this pathetic?"
"It's the drama of the epic battle," Morin explained. Rather than bothering with his weapon, he instead called strands of wind and light magic, tethering their focal point to the epicenter of the nearest opponent's body. A loud snapped issued from the creature, and he fell, much of his innards vaporized. "Gotta save the boss battle for the end."
Cynric jammed his bokken into the moronic "demon" to his left who thought striking from the side was clever. "Indou messatsu!" The wooden sword's polished finish gleamed in the sunlight for a moment, real classic hero-like, and he then commenced a practiced combo he'd worked on, one that left the front Glojack looking like shredded hamburger at the supermarket. "Sucka!"
"Did you honestly have to name that attack?" Mark planted his fist into the face of his nearest adversary. They went down with a sickening thud. The kind of thud that things make when they won't be getting back up. "And what the hell does that even mean?"
"It's Japanese for--" Cynric grunted and beat another weakling in the temple. Another sickening thud. "--'murderous requiem'. At least, that's what the Web dictionary said. And yes, I DID have to name it!"
Their battle chatter was interrupted as three Reapers and their leader, the New-Strain, popped out from the crater made by the now dead dozen or so Glojacks. "Ah, I've been training for this moment."
Morin glanced at this leader. "And you are?"
"I am the newest breed, and the hope of the demons to destroy you!"
Cynric gained a look of annoyed exasperation. "Is it me, or are our bad guy friends sounding more and more like Sailor Moon villains?"
"Silence, fool! I shall knock you all down!" The New-Strain was about to continue his speech, but Slade was too annoyed.
"Fist of Legend!" The energy punch sent the fool reeling. The other Reapers growled in protest and rushed him, only to meet another loud snap from Morin's current spell of choice. The one that was actually hit slammed into the ground, disoriented. Slade moved in and jammed his katana's into the pavement below him. While he was still there. The acidic blue blood spurted out with a hiss. One down, three to go.
The New-Strain was back up, and he and Mark had a showdown. Mark ripped off some Shotokan moves from the Street Fighter video games, and the hackneyed villain answered with professionally honed Jeet Kun Do. Despite Mark's joking manner of his fighting, they reached a stalemate.
That's when Elvira showed up. "You guys take too long with these simple fights." The android road up on some new motorcycle like invention, her purple robes flowing in the wind, looking like they might get caught in the machine, which they luckily did not do. "Honestly, just do it the usual way."
The crew cringed as if scolded by a mother. "Yes, ma'am," they responded simultaneously. Slade went into a frenzy of energy sword attacks, which the normal Reapers had no way of defending against, Morin placed invisible walls behind said saps before they could run from Slade's onslaught, and Mark and Cynric quickly fused their respective heat and lightning magics into a final Street Fighter rip-off, both using the a "hadouken" motion and sending a blast of Gourein death into the New-Strain.
Cynric sighed as they regrouped. "I didn't even get the bastard's name. I could have laughed at him as he fell."
"Shove it," Elvira snapped. "We didn't anticipate this little strike on you guys, so Janson and I have been researching some things at home to see if maybe our enemies are suffering from being split into factions, which would make the task of finally ending all of this nonsense much easier. For now, make sure you're all someplace where we can readily find you."
Following the orders, they all downshifted into their normal human-type forms, piled into Campbell's car and headed back to his house. After laughing about the rather worthless fight, eating a significant amount of pizza-flavored Goldfish crackers and draining a lot of generic-brand cola and orange soda, they settled down into playing some video games, mostly Halo 2 on Josh's X-Box. After several online rounds of the four getting beaten by annoying online not a very nice persons, they won a game. Deciding to leave on a high note, Cliff, Josh and Mark all went to their homes. Campbell remained, determined to actually play through and see the best ending cinematics that Final Fantasy X-2 had to offer.
He eventually gave up on that. The Charlie's Angels girly rip-off stuff was getting to him, so he loaded up Final Fantasy XI and commenced leveling his pathetic level 5 white mage. After several hours of killing poor, defenseless wild rabbits out in the fields, he took to partying with a few others around his level and went on the subjob quest. Sheer luck lead him to completing it. And there was much rejoicing.
::A small orchestra plays rejoice-type music::
"Well, that was a whole lot of time wasted on this." Campbell glanced over at his little alarm beacon near his closet. Not even a flicker. No news as to the new attacks. "Le sigh. I will level more," he said to no one. "I have no life."
His senses flashed. Campbell turned his attention from the game and concentrated a little bit, worried he'd be attacked without any back up, which would include a lot of running away. Running wasn't fun. There was nothing palpable near him that he could sense as a threat. However, the atmosphere definitely had a sense of bad things going down. Getting a bit worried, Campbell stood and glanced around, gripping his bokken, not yet in Cynric form but plenty ready to switch. "Who's there?" He silently cursed to himself. Every time someone calls out to a killer in a scary movie situation, things go bad. Not cool.
<No one you know is here. But they will be. You need to be here.>
Campbell's eyes grew wide. He reflexively passed into Gourein form. "Who the hell said that?"
<Has any mysterious voice ever outright told someone who they were? It doesn't matter. You just need to be here. You need to be enlightened.>
"I don't like enlightenment. It requires thought. Thinking hurts my head sometimes."
<That's a lie. Trust me, I know lies.>
Damn, he's like my mom. Any lie is transparent to her. Or maybe I just suck at lying. "What's the deal? Where do I need to be?"
<You'll find out when you're there. Ha, I'll be seeing you.>
Everything went blank. Then jet black. And muddy. And murky. And soft and relaxing. Cynric wasn't sure why, but he was remarkably comfortable here. He rested his aching muscles, never having a chance to relieve his tension. 'Wait... where am I? What just happened?'

(Telamichious) Blue. That is the first thing that Telamichious saw as he opened his eyes. Blue everywhere, his first reaction was to breathe, but he was in water, deep under water, all his vision a sea of endless blue. He looked back to see a ruptured brown egg, huge in size, sitting on the sea floor for the last many years. He liquefied himself as to not drown and flew up to the surface. He broke the surface, his body pure water, and reformed himself into his physical form. He was completely dry as he finished the transformation and he looked around for signs of life and land. Seeing nothing with his eyes, he used the winds to find north, and decided to fly north.
Enveloping wind was Telamichious’ worst change, emotions blew past him at fifty per second, and the rush of feelings at the beginning were almost impossible for Telamichious to control. He shot forward, happiness, sadness, joy, anger; he felt it all in a split second. Just waking up his powers were a little unfocused, so to relieve some of the mental stress, he enveloped Lightning as well giving him super speed, but a childish perspective on life. “North sounds good, I love flying, it makes my hair float and fly around, yeah!” He blasted off and spun and flipped what doing so, stretching his wings, screaming in joy the whole way. He flew north as he planned and saw land after about an hour of flying, the extra time coming from the aerial acrobatics show. He slowly landed after a few more tricks and enveloped the Darklight persona. His clothes were in shreds, mostly from his rebirth process. The worst part for him, though, was the consciousness that he had for the last thirty years in the egg, where he decided to forget his past and become consumed by his Darklight emotion, the real Telamichious disappeared in the egg.
He walked forward until he saw large structures, and continued to approach them. A strange creature came at him, quite slowly compared to himself and kept walking. The creature made a honk, like a huge bird, and continued to come at him. Telamichious looked at the creature and slammed his fists down on the front of it, flipping it up into the air, flying over his head and landing behind him in a fiery explosion. He turned around to watch the show as pieces of metal and debris flew in every direction, several pieces hitting his body and stopping. Telamichious brushed himself off and turned back towards the structures.
He arrived in the city, confused by the huge stature of the buildings and the things that lived in it. He looked from being to being, confused at their shape. He knew that Elemeleons looked nothing like this things and wondered why no one noticed him, maybe they had seen others like him, or maybe just didn’t care. He continued to walk until he saw a strange glass reflecting object and walked in front of it and screamed in terror. He looked like the creatures that were walking around him, exactly in every feature; he touched the strange piece that was protruding from his face. Confused at what happened, he turned to one of the things that was staring at him, a product of his wail, and asked him simply, “Where do I go to learn things?” The being gave a dismayed look and shrugged his body and pointed to a building some ways in the distance, “The library.” Telamichious nodded his head at the creature and ran off to the building, hoping to learn about what he looked like, where he was, and what had happened in the years that he had been reviving.

(PlanetSide) - (Zeroth) Zeroth wonders down the gravel path, whistling a familiarized tune as he looks up. He hears a small twig snap, and turns to see a heavy set man of mainly fat. The only muscle in his legs. He firmly set stance there a good four feet away. The man says in a deep tone that seems to echo in a whisper, " What is your purpose. "
" I'm simply wondering to the next city. You have a problem with it? "
" I smile on your sassy remarks twerp. See, I can't get in because I am a thief. They have a certain toll. Fourty chits. ( A type of coin). I have thirty one. Give me your nine chits. I know you have them. "
" Yes. I do. But I'm afraid I can't do that. "
The man charges at Zeroth, but Zeroth firmly stands there. He steps to the side and sticks out his left foot, tripping the large man, and as he falls he throws a dagger into the back of his neck, snapping the brain stem. He pulls the dagger out of the half dead, paralyzed man and smirks, licking the blood off the dagger. " The bigger you are, the harder you fall. " He flips the man who just lies there, defencless, and gropes out the money sack. He takes the leather pouch and counts all thirty-one chits. He puts his own nine chits from his pocket into the pouch and walks down the trail.

(Kyi\\Finch) Kyi had been a few trees back, hanging upside by a branch but still hidden by the tree's leaves. As she watched Zeroth kill the man, as she thought, she snickered to herself a little, then swung up so she was sitting on the branch.
First, she cracked her neck on each side, then hesitated, swinging her legs back and fourth, but eventually leaped down, landing on one knee and her hands. Yawning a bit, she pulled up her hair and wrapped a small hairband she had around the bunch, then let two strands infront fall down by her cheeks.
She stood slowly, and followed after Zeroth stealthily and quietly, making sure her shadow wasn't seen either.

(Zeroth) Zeroth arrives at the toll shack. He looks at the two guards on each side and the guard standing next to the toll booth. They were heavily armed, and could take him to prison by number. He slid in the 40 Chits and in exchange got his pass. He walked through the large gate ( so people couldn't just simply climb over it with out being shot down by archers ) and stood firmly at the base of the town. Amazed by the largeness of it, he begins to wonder around, his eye caught on a large sign: Guild Center. He enters.

(Kyi\\Finch) Kyi stared wide-eyed as Zeroth disappeared behind the gate entrance. 40... Crap. Cringing slightly, she reached into her main money pocket, and pulled out what she had. Lint, an almond, a piece of ripped paper, and 6 chits. Kyi slid it back into her pocket and blinked. Even though she knew the outcome would be bad, she decided to do it anyways.
Still a few good feet away from the guards, she turned and walked over to them, coming out from the side of the trees near them. She smiled at them kindly, "Hello there." The guards looked at her perplexed.
One answered, "What can I do you for?"
"Oh nothing, really. Just move." She replied, still smiling, but now with a hint of mischeif in her eyes.
The guards laughed a little, looking at eachother and Kyi took the chance and jumped up, pushing out her leg and hitting the first guard directly in the head. He let out a grunt and stumbled backwards, hitting the other guard. "d**n armor.." Kyi muttered, walking over to them.
"What the hell was that for?" The second guard asked.
Kyi returned her smile, "Just want in, I don't got the money. If I told you who I was sent by, then would you let me?"
"Maybe.." They answered in sequence. Kyi whispered to them her short journey that she had to through to get here and why, hoping no one heard. The guards shrugged, seeing no harm in letting her in, though there was, and let her through.
She walked through the gate, thanking the guards and tossing them each a cigarette and lighting her own. It was the tobacco kind, she wasn't sure why she decided to smoke that one, but she did.
The gate door closed behind her, and she placed the cigarette in her mouth, letting the smoke rise above her head. Glancing around, she waited to see if she saw anything interesting and leaned up against the gate wall.

(Kratos) Kratos looks at them from the roof of a building. He jumps down, landing in the shadow of the building he was sitting on. He sees Zeroth walk by, then he looks at Kyi. He sees her get in without paying, and slowly waits there, leaning against the building with his arms folded. When she gets neared, he speaks:
"Well, you are the first person I have ever seen besides my clan and me who can get in without paying. Who are you?"

(Kyi\\Finch) Kyi grinned, "I see." She shut her eyes, yawned, then looked down at the ground. Reopening her eyes, she peeked through the two strands of hair by her cheeks at Kratos. "I'd tell you who I am, but I'm not sure who you are or who you knew; therefore, I can't." She looked back up, turned to him smirking, and tightened her pony tail.
Kratos stared blankly at her, and Kyi was unsure what to determine of it and slid her hands into two of her pockets; gripping her dagger's handles tightly.

(Kratos) Kratos stands there, arms folded, looking quite calm.
"You need not worry about me unless you commit crimes against Askara or if you do something against clan Cruxis. I am Kratos, the leader of Cruxis. In this town, clan Cruxis is praised, because we keep it protected. We like to call it home. But enough about that, how did you get in for free?"
